Ted Gärdestad's "Blue Virgin Isles"-album maybe released for the first time ever on CD?
It's maybe up to You!
Hi Guys out there!
This is maybe a strange unusual way of research to convince the record company to release a great vinyl LP album (what a nostalgic word!) which has never ever before been released as a CD!
But now it's up to You! Send me an email in person and I will pass it further to the record company to convince them!
It's about the great late Swedish artist Ted Gärdestad and his great "Blue Virgin Isles"-album from 1978 with vocals in English which features for example his Eurovision Song Contest Entry "Satellit" and lots of other great tracks. It got the following impressing line up of great musicians: Jay Graydon, Lee Ritenour, Steve Lukather, Fred Tackett, John Collins, David Hungate, Ray Brown, Bob Glaub, Jai Winding, James Newton Howard, Dr John, Jeff Porcaro, Jim Keltner, Victor Feldman, Steve Porcaro, John Mayall, Steve Madaio, Jerry Hey, Gary Herbig, Venetta Fields and others and shows Ted Gärdestad at his peak!
This complete album has by a strange reason never ever been released as a WHOLE CD, only "almost" if You're one of the lucky owners of the great 4-CD-compilatin-Box with Ted Gärdestad titled "Solregn" where ONE track was missing - The great title track - the ballad "Blue Virgin Isles", later released in Swedish and then titled "Himlen Är Oskyldigt Blå" which was first released 15 years later in the year 1993(!!) and which appears on this mentioned 4-CD-Box.
My and the Swedish record company's question is how many of You guys out there would be interested in buying that CD if it would be released as a CD?
It's a very great album! (Read more about the album on the Blue Desert web site at wwww.bluedesert.dk under the section "Artists", scroll down to their "Swedish Westcoast section" symbolised with a Swedish flag of course on the letter "S" and scroll down to Ted Gärdestad on the letter "G"!)
