Guys,
Your car is brilliant. I thought that converting my 145 to LPG was way out there.
Well done.
Good luck with the rest of your adventures.

Hi there , congatulation to a very innovative project. Need I say in the very near future this will take of I actually remember small trucks and some cars propelled by this methode. MUST HAVE BEEN AROUND 1944 - 1950 in Sth Germany. I live in Australia if anyone is interested there is always sufficient old wood on most roads here.
By the way your site is most interesting to study keep up the good work!
Cheers Manfred

Great work and great video. Your project is helping me a great deal in my wood gass project, too. Price of petrol is as high as 1 Euro per liter, here. But we are a poor country so that price really hurts. Wood gass is a great alternative for those of us in rural areas. Thanks. Good luck in everything. Oscar

Yesterday i saw the documentary on National Geographic Channel in Planet Mechanics, it was amazing and i started to search the web for Wood fuel cars and i came across your website link in Wikipedia and i started reading your blog and it was really amazing that this technology is in use. It is wonderful job and your work is priceless.

Yesterday I saw the documentary on NetGeo. My feelings for your efforts are high. Well in Pakistan where I live, we have lots of activities and efforts being done on renewable energies because of sky high oil prices. Yours will give us for moral to achieve our goals. Looking forward to a mutual beneficial communication in future.

Nice site, I have been researching gengas in order to convert my 86 honda civic hatchback into a gengas vehicle. Nobody in my area of Virginia USA has heard of this so I am on my own. The guy at the local muffler shop will help in return for advertising on the car. We have lots of wood chips produced in our area so that will be my fuel.
I will try the downdraft design.

Hi
Just watched you on UK cable television programme "Planet Mechanics" (on National Geographic Channel).
Truly excellent ! Well done - must be LOTS of other applications for this older technology !
I'm particularly impressed with the LACK of emissions - especially as there would still have been some carbon deposits in the engine from running on petrol . . . Wonder what the gases from a new "clean" engine would be . . ?
And no catalytic convertor needed . . ?
Regards,
Julian

Hej Johan

Amazing project, brillent. Its good to see this unused system bought back to life-who knows it might make more economic sence to have this other power source with oil being so expensive.
Have you thought about using woodgas to run an electric generator.

To bad that I had to go to work nights, maby we cud been able to fixed the leak on the generator??

It´s cind of good that you found out what it was that making the trubble.
I gess that that leak eats up the sharcole of the reduktionzone.

Well done! I am impressed and inspired by your wodd gas project. This days i try to find out if it is possible to build something like this in Germany. The vehicle inspections are very hard here. But i think i will make it.
The werner type gasifier makes it relative easy to build one.
@ joe dupont: Copper is not a good matrial for a woodgas colleer, because the condensewater will corrode it, aluminium is also bad because of that.
joe dupont  080111 4:28
God bless you guys for your unit. It would seem that the blower could be in the back and out of sight. and that a spring loaded flap would keep it open as soon as the unit is shut down..
a spark unit could ignite the gas when it is ready. would it make sense to use more smaller say copper tubes to cool the the gases?
i know that you will have more resistance. but also cooler gases. keep up the good work!!!
